GRINDHOUSE! TMNT! (and more)
TMNT (2006) - (6.8/10) - I was a big fan of the Turtles growing up (who wasn't?)..I watched the show, read the comics, and of course had the action figures. TMNT is a short not-too-kiddy solid fun animated movie. My only complaint about the movie is that there isn't enough of my favorite turtle - Donatello!!
The Best Man (AKA "Unhitched") (2005) - (4.5/10) - Eh. A pretty stale romantic comedy.
The OH in Ohio (2006) - (5.5/10) - It's about a woman who has never had an orgasm. She's been married for over ten years. It has its funny moments...But drags on at the end.
Trailer:
Alpha Dog (2005) - (6.7/10) - I did NOT think I would like this movie...But I did. Even though the "hardcore white boy" acting does come off a bit over-the-top at times (making it hard not to laugh) it is a pretty intense flick knowing that all of this might have actually happened. And oh snap Justin Timberlake can kinda act!
Trailer:
Black Christmas (2006) - (6/10) - You get exactly what you expect - Slasher horror with cute B-actresses and fun kills. No story and no depth. And of course..Mary Elizabeth Winstead! -
House of Usher (2006) - (3/10) - A horrible rendition of an Edgar Allan Poe tale.
Fifty Pills (2006) - A "good" college kid has to sell 50 pills in one day in order to pay his tuition or he gets kicked out of school. Nothing special...
Trailer:
Flushed Away (2006) - (4/10) - A very poorly and weakly executed animated movie about rats in the sewer system. I'm not even sure kids would find this one that entertaining.
Happy Feet (2006) - (5.5/10) - Much more entertaining than Flushed Away. The funniest parts were the ones including characters voiced by Robin Williams. It even a had a decent "moral message" albeit the result was unrealistic. Oh and the singing can get a little annoying at times...
Trailer:
Grindhouse (2006) - Planet Terror - (10/10), Death Proof - (4.5/10) , Fake Trailers - (9/10) - This was the my most anticipated movie since 2005's Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith! And it delivered exactly the way I thought it would. Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror is pretty much my perfect movie - over-the-top B-horror, awesome action, funny, cool and super likeable characters, great cameos, romance, excitement, and just all around non-stop fun. Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof was as weak as I expected! I don't understand how people like this guy!? Death Proof is boring and dull except for Kurt Russel and the car chase scenes. Most of the movie is trying-too-hard to be witty dialogue between completely annoying b**chy girls. The Fake trailers between the two movies were HILARIOUS and perfect. Can't wait to see this one again!

Trailer:
Bad News Bears (2006) - (6.7/10) - Fun. Foul. Funny. Even though I complain about Billy Bob acting the same freakin' way in every single movie I have to admit he is still funny in his own way.
